Steve C (real name Stephen) was born and bred in Ipswich, Qld where he lived for 54 ˝ years except for a period from 1976 to 1980 where he lived in the small township of Walloon about 10Km west of Ipswich. Married to Maureen for 31 plus years and have two sons, Damien and Neil, born in 1980 and 1982 respectively, who both live at Hatton Vale, just outside of Ipswich. Also have one grand-daughter, Erica, born in August 2008.

He and Maureen relocated to the Sunshine Coast in July 2006 to retire. This was after spending 39 + years “working” in the public service. Stephen took 7 months leave before officially retiring from that job in January 2007; they currently live at Little Mountain. At present Stephen does two days a week volunteer work in a workshop at the Caloundra Resource and Recovery Centre (the tip) where he helps restore furniture as well as making other household items, using the timber sent to the tip.

Stephen has been riding road bikes for over 38 years, starting with a Honda 90 then graduating to a Honda 750 when they were “the” Jap bike to own until those torque 750 Kawasaki triples came on the scene. He finally came across from the dark side and bought a Softail standard as a retirement present for himself in October 2006. He joined Sunshine Coast Harley Owners group in 2007 and took on the membership officer’s role in 2010.

Stephen is a loyal, long suffering St. George supporter (rugby league for the southerners) finally getting the monkey off their backs when the master coach took the reigns two years ago and they won the premiership after a 31 year drought.

Stephen and Maureen plan on travelling around Australia and cruising their way around the rest of the world.
